Greetings!

Certified Nurse-Midwives can be found across Colorado. There are over 70 practices in Grand Junction, Sterling, Wray, Lamar, Vail, Aspen, Montrose, Glenwood Springs, Durango and the greater Denver metro area. There is one birth center in Englewood. Please visit "Find a Midwife"!

Certified Nurse-Midwives (CNMs) are nurses who are college and clinically trained as midwives so they can offer health care to women and their families across the life span, beginning at puberty and continuing into the menopause. 

The midwifery model of care is geared to promote the well-being of women, their newborns and families through education; this results in informed decision-making. 

Your CNM partners with you, the woman, to provide information and care in the areas of pregnancy, childbirth, family planning, reproductive health issues, menopause, common medical problems such as urinary tract infections, and annual physical check-ups. Please visit:  Mymidwife.org

Certified Nurse-Midwives practice in multiple settings,  both public and private.  These include hospitals, birth centers, and homes. CNMs can be found in rural, suburban, and urban areas across Colorado.  Please visit our interactive map to find a CNM near you. 

Insurance companies reimburse CNMs for health care provided to you and your family.

Nurse-Midwifery Education
